Terms of use

These terms apply when you use TrueBand. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What TrueBand is

TrueBand is a practice service for the IELTS test. TrueBand is not affiliated with IELTS, the British Council, IDP or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. IELTS is a trademark of its owners; we use the name only to describe the test our practice material prepares you for.

Bands shown on TrueBand are estimates to guide your study. They are not official IELTS results, and we cannot promise you will get the same band in the real test.

Your account

• You must be 13 or older. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms.
• Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• One account is for one person.

Fair use

Please don't:

• copy, share, sell or publish our tests, answers, model essays or other material;
• use bots or scripts to access the service, or try to break or overload it;
• try to get into other people's accounts or data;
• upload anything unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it's fair to, we will warn you first.

Our content and yours

The tests, explanations and model answers on TrueBand belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own study. Your answers remain yours; you let us store and process them to run the service, as described in the privacy policy.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep TrueBand running and your answers safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features. If we make a significant change to these terms, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Paid plans

TrueBand is free today. If we introduce paid plans, prices and what they include will be shown before you pay, and the refund policy will apply.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions you make based on an estimated band. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
